Fraud and Scam Compensation Claims

What is a Fraud or Scam Claim?

A criminal who portrays to be someone else to gain your trust. The Criminal then manipulates you for you to send money.

A criminal contacts the victim pretending to be from a trusted organisaion such a Bank, Police or HMRC to convince the victim to make a payment to account the scammer controls.

A criminal who uses methods to blindside the victim to deposit their money into investments that don’t exist through high pressure contact and mis-leading advise.

A criminal has advertised a product or item which you have then purchased only to have not received nothing.

These scams usually begin with an unsolicited message, most commonly on WhatsApp or Telegram, offering a job opportunity. This is working from home, flexible hours and requires no experience. Some people may have previously filled in applications on spoofs of legitimate job sites so the message is not unexpected.

You un-wittingly transferred money to someone or something you believed was genuine but have since realised it was a fake.
